Tom Hansen is the former Director of Golf at the Willowhill Golf Academy in Northbrook. Over the last seven years, he has logged in over 9,000 hours delivering comprehensive swing analysis, custom program design, private and group golf training and on-course playing lessons to adult men and women, junior golf prodigies, competitive high school and college players.
Tom brings a wide variety of life experiences to his teaching philosophy and into every golf lesson. He played high school and college golf and earned a degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. During his 17 year advertising career as a creative director, he incorporated the metaphors that connect golf and business.
Tom's right brain directed concepts and commitment to the visual aspect of golf has helped many players enhance the learning process and imagine positive outcomes. "You find in your mind what you put there. Put good things in there!" is one of his favorite mantras.
Tom's creativity transcends the visual realm. his experience as a pianist, percussionist and singer help students draw sensory analogies to rhythm and tempo and understand the importance of daily repetitions in committed, focused practice. "To own it you have to live it."

Jon was introduced to golf at the age of five and played numerous IJGA events, qualifying for the Tournament of Champions twice in junior high and high school. Jon played on the New Trier High School Golf Team that placed 5th his junior year and 2nd his senior year at the IHSA State Tournament.
Jon was awarded golf scholarships by the Illinois Junior Golf Association and Lewis University to play NCAA Division 2 golf. His senior year, Jon posted low competitive scores of 67 and 68 and was voted All-Conference and All-District.
Jon began teaching professionally in 1997 and spent 3 years on staff at the Green To Tee Academy mentoring under Peter Donahue, a Golf Digest Illinois Top 100 Instructor. He also spent 3 seasons as a Lead Golf Instructor at the Willowhill Golf Academy working with Tom.
Jon is also an accomplished song writer, guitar player and drummer. This experience helps students draw sensory analogies to rhythm and tempo and understand the importance of daily reps in committed, focused practice.
